Screw Pumps for the Food Industry

Hygienic screw pumps are specially designed for use in food, cosmetic and beverage industries. Such pumps are simple in design, which makes their cleaning much easier. All metal parts in contact with the pumped product are made of stainless steel SS304/SS316. Pumps with a wide hopper have been developed for conveying materials with high viscosity.

Operating principle of screw pumps for food industry

Operation of screw pumps is based on the rotor's rotation in a screw stator. The pump rotor is grinded out from stainless or hardened steel and the stator is formed from a resilient elastomer. Shape and dimensions of these parts are selected in such a way that when the rotor is inserted into the stator, a chain of watertight cells is formed (like a honeycomb). As the rotor rotates inside the stator, these «honeycombs» move in spiral order along the axis of the pump without any changes in shape or content in the structure of the liquid. This process moves the working mass through the pump from inlet to outlet.

Single-Stage/Multi-Stage	FS Series
These heavy-duty hygienic pumps are specially designed for transporting wine and beverages, and can also be used for other food and beverage applications. Standard connections include IDF, SMS and RJT.	Pumps of the «S» series were recently developed to meet the stringent requirements of 3A sanitary standards. These pumps have a smooth contour to avoid any product trapping pockets and are designed to facilitate the conversion of open shaft pumps to monoblock pumps. Design material complies with FDA standards. Depending on whether feed auger is needed or not, there are options with single and double mechanical seals that can be installed in accordance with food standards. Standard connections include IDF, SMS, RJT, CIP port is optional.
